Athens, October 2025
From October 20 to 24, 2025, the University of Piraeus hosted the 7th International Staff Week within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 International Mobility Programme, bringing together representatives from universities and organizations around the world to exchange good practices and strengthen cooperation in education, social inclusion, and innovation.
On Tuesday, October 21, during the thematic session “Promoting Social Inclusion and Diversity through KEAN and the Diversity Charter Greece”, Mr. Stavros Milionis, President and Founder of KEAN and the Diversity Charter Greece, together with Ms. Raina Melissinou, Senior Project Manager at KEAN, presented the organization’s work and its commitment to equality, inclusion, and sustainable development.
Among the initiatives showcased was GameComp – Green EduGames, an Erasmus+ KA220-YOU project designed to enhance sustainability competencies among young people through the power of gamified learning. The project equips youth workers with innovative, game-based educational tools that enable them to prepare young people for the green transition — empowering them to become proactive agents of change for environmental and sustainable development.
The presentation of GameComp generated significant interest among participants from universities in Uganda, Jordan, and Vietnam, opening a rich dialogue on the role of educational games and interactive methodologies in fostering sustainability awareness and green skills among youth across different cultural and geographic contexts.
We warmly thank the University of Piraeus for the invitation and the opportunity to present our work at the intersection of inclusion, innovation, and sustainability through European partnerships.
