YOUTH FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY – Call for participants

  
Το ΚΕΑΝ ως συμμετέχων φορέας στο πρόγραμμα «YouthFightforDemocracy» που υλοποιεί η Κυπριακή οργάνωση LCEducation, δίνει την ευκαιρία σε δύο εθελοντές ή μέλη του φορέα να παρακολουθήσουν τις εργασίες του σεμιναρίου στην Κύπρο στις 26/11/2012 – 01/12/2012.
   Το πρόγραμμα επιδοτεί 100% την διαμονή και διατροφή για όλες της μέρες του σεμιναρίου καθώς και το 70% των μεταφορικών προς και από την Κύπρο.
   Ο κάθε ενδιαφερόμενος είναι απαραίτητο να συμπληρώσει άμεσα την αίτηση συμμετοχής πλήρως και να την στείλει στο mkaradima@kean.gr.
   Τα στοιχεία του ενδιαφερόμενου πρέπει να είναι με λατινικούς χαρακτήρες όπως αναγράφονται στην ταυτότητά του καθώς θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για την κράτηση των εισιτηρίων.

          Youth Democracy Projects: ‘Youth Fight for Democracy’
   LCEducational will organize a training course, Youth in Action project, action 1.3, Youth Democracy Projects: ‘Youth Fight for Democracy’, taking place in Cyprus,  Limassol, from 26/11-01/12/2012 and therefore we invite you to apply and participate in the project.

  Project Summary-Objectives
 
  The proposed project refers to the connection among young people and their active
citizenship. It is targeted to young people with fewer opportunities and it involves
youth from EU, specifically Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Denmark and Poland.
 
  The project introduces participants into a new lifestyle referring directly to active citizenship. Therefore main themes of the project are the active involvement of young people in every European society and the European profile. The project based on the construction of several identities, subject in touch with European Union belonging. Thus, main area of the project is to identify those several identities and to use them as an asset, as regards the European Union belonging. Moreover, issues such as the reasons why young people don’t participate in politics, why they don’t vote, why they are not active to the civil society or the construction of European identity will be discussed and scrutinized during the meeting in Cyprus.
 
  The methods that will be used during the project implementation will be based on
non-formal ways of learning, such as debates, role-playing games, workshops, events, expositions, seminars, joint seminars, local actors’ participation, Forum Theater etc.
  Overall different activities will be planned in order to exchange ideas, to meet young
people around Europe and to promote active citizenship of young people.
 
  During the meeting in Cyprus all partners will have the opportunity to present their local actions that implemented for the project as well as to analyze the results of the questionnaire.

  Financial conditions
 
  Participants in the meeting will have to contribute with the 30% of the travel expenses. Accommodation and food are covered 100% for the entire duration of the course.
 
  Interested parties should send the completed Application Form for participants through their sending organizations, no later than 10/10/2012.
 
  Applicants are requested NOT to make any travel arrangements since the organizer of the TC, LCEducational, will be in charge of all the travel arrangements and inform the sending organizations.
