Many women aged 18 to 35 with limited educational backgrounds remain excluded from the labour market due to social and economic barriers or their caring role within the family. Lack of access to modern educational opportunities and digital skills further distances them from the new economy, limiting their ability to make the most of their skills and build a sustainable career path.

In response to this challenge, the European project UNWIND (Exploiting the UNtapped potential of young adult low-skilled Women IN Digital economy and coding) was designed to empower women experiencing social exclusion through targeted training in web programming and digital entrepreneurship. Through a free online bootcamp, personalised mentoring and participation in an Online EXPO, participants gain practical tools, build their professional portfolio and connect to employment opportunities in the technology sector.

UNWIND aspires to be a model of inclusion and empowerment for women with limited opportunities, actively addressing gender inequality and strengthening their presence in the growing digital technology sector, with a focus on sustainability, accessibility and equal opportunities.
