Summary
The project aims to increase social cohesion and strengthen the resilience of young participants, consisting of migrants, refugees and local groups, by revealing their skills in STEM/STEAM and sport and by including them in social spaces. The project will showcase successful social cohesion practices to provide a resource for integrated social policies and contribute to the international literature.
Local, refugee and migrant youth who have completed their training in 6 workshops active in the fields of STEM / STEAM and Sport, will be given the opportunity to share what they produce.
The following will take place:
1.Art exhibition of the works produced by the students - in the framework of the science lab and the Robotics-Technology lab,
2.Μια επιστημονική έκθεση όπου θα παρουσιάζονται τα πειράματα και οι παραγωγές των μαθητών.
3. As part of the sports workshop, a sports competition will be organised.
4. In the framework of the Drama-Theatre workshop, theatrical performances will take place with the participants.
Teachers will improve the self-expression skills and self-confidence of the target group through activities such as exhibitions, festivals, sports competitions and games. With these activities, it is expected that the target group will become stronger in the social area. The active participation of women participants in political and digital life and awareness about gender roles will be ensured through events. Thus, the formation of multicultural, inclusive, egalitarian, environmental, democratic and therefore more sustainable societies will be supported and increased and social cohesion among local, migrant and refugee youth will be enhanced.
