Summary
The ResConnect project aimed to strengthen young people's connection to the environment and inspire them to take an active role in protecting our planet. Through interactive and experiential activities, the program promoted knowledge and awareness around circular economy, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
More specifically, the project aimed to:
- Raise awareness among young people about today’s environmental challenges and the importance of circular thinking.
- Encourage youth to take initiative and propose locally applicable solutions.
- Promote creative expression through artistic and collaborative actions.
- Enhance intercultural communication, cooperation, and exchange among young people from different European backgrounds.
- Link non-formal education with Erasmus+ tools and Youthpass, supporting personal and social development.
Expected outcomes:
The project is expected to have a significant impact on young people, youth organizations, and local communities. Specifically:
- Increased knowledge on circular economy and sustainability, through hands-on workshops, games, and creative challenges.
- Development of key skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and environmental awareness.
- Cultivation of responsibility and critical thinking, through activities that supported both personal expression and collective action.
- Greater engagement of young people in initiatives focused on social and environmental change.
- Creation of an international youth network, aiming to continue the momentum and collaborations after the program’s end.
- Promotion of non-formal education and Erasmus+ opportunities, through the meaningful use of tools like Youthpass.
ResConnect was a unique learning journey, fostering empowerment and a more conscious and sustainable way of living. Through play, collaboration, and the sharing of experiences, it left a lasting impact on its participants and their communities.
