In recent years, European and international organisations have worked extensively to identify the role of sport in capacity building, as a tool to promote social change and its use for social purposes. However, many improvements still need to be made. The main aim of the project is to help people understand the importance of healthy physical activity through voluntary sport activities, social inclusion, equal opportunities and increasing participation in sport through equal access. With the project "Kids Running Towards the Olympics", we want to introduce the Olympics to socially excluded children at risk of exclusion with partners from 7 countries (Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, France and Spain), to integrate them into social life and to enable them to be physically active in sport. We want to implement the OlympicKids programme as an important educational opportunity, especially for children, in order to create an EU society that embodies the Olympic values, with the principles of equality, sustainability, humanity, universality, solidarity, sport, education and fair play. It is aimed at children aged 7-14 years with the aim of adopting a progressive sporting and active lifestyle and to bring them into contact with the Olympic values at an early age. OlympicKids will be children's first contact with sport that will transform them and lead to their adoption of sport as a lifestyle.
