Summary

Sitting volleyball transcends being just a sport. Ιt serves as a transformative tool for fostering inclusion, challenging societal stereotypes, and enhancing both physical and social skills among athletes of all abilities. Despite its significant potential, the practice remains underutilized in mainstream sports and community-based activities.

This project addresses this gap by integrating sitting volleyball training into regular volleyball practices, creating inclusive opportunities for amateur athletes and grassroots players while expanding access to adaptive sports within local communities.

This initiative positions sitting volleyball as a powerful medium for promoting social cohesion, mutual understanding, and equity. It emphasizes the role of sports in uniting individuals, reshaping perceptions of disability, and fostering inclusivity.

By combining athletic development with the principles of diversity and collaboration, the project redefines the role of sports as a foundation for building inclusive and equitable communities.

The overarching aim of the project is to develop an inclusive training model that integrates sitting volleyball into regular volleyball practices for amateur and base-level players, fostering social inclusion, enhancing athletic skills, and raising awareness of disability sports through a reversed inclusion approach.
