Summary

The overall objective of the project is to promote diversity management and equal opportunities for all in the workplace, by increasing youth participation and their capacity to promote diversity in the workplace. More specifically, it aims to:

-Increase young workers' awareness of discrimination in the workplace, increase their empathy and help them combat any hidden stereotypes and misconceptions about diversity.

-To increase their capacity to develop friendly, inclusive and accessible youth organisations.

-To increase the knowledge of youth workers about diversity in the workplace and highlight its importance.

-To increase the knowledge and skills of youth workers on promoting inclusive working environments and working with different target groups in order to create an inclusive labour market culture.

-Enhance cooperation and understanding between youth workers and organisations from different countries.

Expected outcomes:

The project is expected to have a positive impact on the personal, social and professional lives of youth workers. They will achieve a qualitative and quantitative improvement of their future projects and initiatives, develop more targeted, attractive and inclusive youth activities, strengthen their skills in working with different stakeholders. All of the above will lead to improving the professional profile of youth workers, increasing their motivation and satisfaction in their daily work and increasing their capacity to trigger change in terms of modernisation, internationalisation and digitalisation of their youth work and organisations.

Organisations will significantly improve their capacity to contribute to the creation of an inclusive labour market and to organise activities in this regard. A more modernised and inclusive environment will be created within the organisations and a variety of tools will be offered to train their staff, improving the quality and effectiveness of their future actions. A new, more professional and dynamic environment will be created within the organisations.

The project is expected to raise awareness about intolerance and discrimination in the workplace and the exclusion of different young people from the labour market and to get more people and organisations involved in efforts to build an inclusive labour market and ensure equal opportunities for all. It will highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion representation and its benefits for businesses, society and young people.

Όλγα Γουρδομιχάλη

Project Manager

Από το 2013 έως το 2022, στο Ίδρυμα Ιατροβιολογικών Ερευνών της Ακαδημίας
Αθηνών συμμετείχε σε πλήθος ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων. Έχει διεθνείς
δημοσιεύσεις και έχει συμμετάσχει σε ερευνητικά συνέδρια τόσο στην Ελλάδα
όσο και στο εξωτερικό. Επί σειρά ετών, διδάσκει στη δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση.
Αναπτύσσει και υλοποιεί εθελοντικά προγράμματα νέων σχετικά με την έρευνα.
Ταυτόχρονα συμμετέχει σε δράσεις προστασίας περιβάλλοντος, πυροπροστασίας
και φροντίδας αδέσποτων ζώων.


Μιλάει αγγλικά και ισπανικά.
Εντάχθηκε στο ΚΕΑΝ το 2018 και μέχρι σήμερα έχει διαχειριστεί δράσεις και έργα
σε εθνικό και ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Τον Νοέμβριο του 2022 ολοκλήρωσε το
μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων για Στελέχη του
Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιά.
