Programme: Erasmus+
Summary
DIMAIN is a European project, a joint project consisting of a total of six European partner organisations from four countries, which aimed to promote social inclusion and ensure equal opportunities for all people in the workplace through appropriate information on multiculturalism and the implementation of inclusive practices in companies and organisations. Diversity is achieved when a certain number of employees from different backgrounds form part of an organisation's human resources, but the real stakes are that all employees have a genuine sense of belonging. People should be encouraged to bring their own unique ideas and practices to the workplace.
Undoubtedly, the benefits for organisations and society in general that result from embracing diversity are unparalleled:
1.Corporate culture and corporate performance are improved
2.Access to talent is enhanced and
3. Innovation finds fertile ground.
The results of the project can be summarised as follows:
-Raising awareness
-Creation and implementation of a training programme on managing multiculturalism and integration. This training is an important tool for professional development, which extends beyond the conventional boundaries of formal education, offering a range of online activities, tools, practices and interactions.
-Creation and continuous operation of an online collaborative platform that allows target groups and stakeholders to develop professional networks implementing multicultural management and integration practices, measures and/or policies.
Currently, more than 150 companies and organizations in our country have signed the Diversity Charter (https://diversity-charter.gr/), incorporating in their daily operations practices of effective integration of diverse employees, with multifaceted benefits.
