Open Consultation “Discussing about the greenery in our city”
within the project “Green Itineraries between Neighbouring Municipalities”
The need for more green in the region of Attica is something that we are all aware of. In the cities, there are paths of green areas that are either destroyed or “hidden” and are not a continuation of the urban fabric, a fact that would influence beneficial the quality of life of the residents
KEAN in a cooperation with the neighboring municipalities of Ag. Anargiroi – Kamatero and municipality of Filis is trying the framework of the project “Green Itineraries between Neighbouring Municipalities” to identify green routes that exist and also to the damaged or hidden spots and to propose potential interventions to create conditions for the integrations of these routes.
In this direction especially for the municipality of Athens we organize on Friday 5 of October 2018 at 15.30, the ground hall at Serafeio Athens Municipality Culture and Sport Innovation centre ( Pireos and Petrou Ralli ) a round table, an open consultation with scientists and professionals in the field, but also open to citizens, civil society, for an exchange of views on how green paths could be further developed through educational and walking activities and with the contribution of KEAN study an educational team as well as other stakeholders and relevant organizations.
The cooperation and determination of the government, local government and civil society to implement is crucial to the success of the venture. Your presence is particularly important as we are seeking to achieve the most direct cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve this important priority and difficulty in the work of Attiki.
