Summary

The project aims to create a network of inclusive areas, aiming at the exchange of good practices related to the integration and social inclusion of foreign citizens. The network will act as a forum for the exchange of actions aimed at building independence, active participation in the territory and empowerment of a group of residents that is often misrepresented and stigmatised as a negative presence. The project will highlight and seek to showcase experiences of inclusion, civic engagement and creating equality. In addition to highlighting and enhancing the exchange of good practices, the project will also aim to promote exchanges between people from different countries, to foster mutual understanding and tolerance. Moreover, it will offer participants the opportunity to broaden their perspective and develop a sense of European belonging and identity, which is also inspired by respect for EU values such as the inclusion of minorities and equality for all. The themes to be addressed in the programme will be the fight against racism, discrimination and hate speech, the inclusion of minorities and their rights in the context of European law and practice, social enterprises and cooperatives as a means of inclusion, inclusion through physical activities and informal environments, innovation in digital and entrepreneurial skills as a potential means of inclusion, multicultural societies and multiculturalism.
