Summary

- 404_Hatred_Not Found: Empowering Youth to Challenge Hatred Online & Offline was developed in response to the growing normalization of hate speech and hate crimes across Europe, especially in digital environments and among young people. The project aims to empower young people aged 15-30 to recognize, understand, challenge, and prevent hatred both online and offline.

The initiative promotes anti-hate literacy through innovative participatory learning methods, gamification, co-creation activities, and experiential education approaches. A key outcome will be the development of an interactive digital platform featuring educational resources, challenges, collaborative tools, and youth-generated content that encourages civic engagement and positive social action.

The project also supports frontline professionals, including educators, youth workers, civil society organizations, public authorities, human rights defenders, and media activists. Through workshops, webinars, practical handbooks, and resilience-building tools, participants will strengthen their capacity to prevent and address hate speech and hate-motivated behaviors within their communities.

In addition, 404_Hatred will establish national multi-stakeholder networks in all participating countries, fostering collaboration among youth organizations, educational institutions, public authorities, NGOs, and policymakers. Through awareness campaigns, policy recommendations, youth festivals, and digital outreach, the project seeks to contribute to a more inclusive, resilient, democratic, and hate-aware Europe.
