In the framework of the Horizon2020 project proGIreg, the “Cities Workshop for FRC and FC” took place in Piraeus from 29th to 31st March. ΚΕΑΝ-Cell of Alternative Youth Activities in collaboration with Municipality of Piraeus organized the meeting in Municipal Theater of Piraeus and fieldtrip to Nature Based Solution and urban regeneration area in Piraeus. A total of 36 partners from Europe and China, including the 7 cities Comune di Torino (Italy), Zagreb (Croatia), Zenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Cascais (Portugal), Dortmund (Germany) Nigbo ( China) attended the workshop during which parnters discussed:

-SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MODELS FOR NBS: Progress of the business model analysis and catalogue
Durinf proGIreg project, Piraeus implemented NBS 3: Community-based urban farms and gardens and NBS 8: Pollination Biodiversity these in Primary Schools (e.g. 9th Primary School Piraeus, 11th Primary School, 5th Primary School, First Special Piraeus S.G.) and Middle and High Schools (e.g. 7th high school) by greening the courtyards of the Schools as well as the NBS 6: Accessible green corridors for Maria Kiouris Street/Pedestrian Walkway where the proGIreg Program designed its configuration with greenery, living areas, play areas to turn it into a modern pedestrian street.
